Internet Explorer minimizes (and off-center)

When I initially open a website with IE 6.0, the first screen that appears
looks fine (and is full-screen). However, in some cases
(perhaps 30% of the time), the next screen I access
within the same website appears much smaller, and is
off-center (where I can't read everything). I then must move and maximize
it. Any ideas on how to maximize all screens on open automatically?

Open to such a window>close all others! >stretch and position the small
window using the mouse, then close with the X.
