Whenever I try to use Internet Explorer and error messge comes up and a virus
is detected on my computer. The error message says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (This is the window's name.)

Runtime Error!
Program: C\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

How can I stop this message from coming up, as after I click the OK button
my Intertnet window closes. It has only occured very recently, what do I need
to do to fix this problem?

Removing the virus should be your primary concern. Once that is gone the IE
error message will probably clear up as well.

Is your antivirus notifying you? Is it identifying the virus by name? Can
the antivirus program clean the virus on its own or are there additional
steps required for its removal? (Look up the identified virus at the
antivirus website)
