Internet Explorer has encountered a problem

I continuously get the message;

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Send Error Report / Don't Send

I get this when I research things at pricewatch.com or go to pay something
on ebay or if I go to one of a
100 other sites... can't make it quit. Any ideas?

As you did not post the version of Windows or IE you are using, I can only
make a general guess. You might try the following and see if it helps:

To download the Microsoft Java VM for Windows XP from
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Go to the Windows Update Site (Start/All Programs/Windows Update/Personalize
Windows Update/Enable the Windows Update Catalog. Save Settings. Select
Windows Update Catalog from the left hand pane/Select Find updates for
Microsoft Windows systems from the right hand pane/Select Windows XP/Search.
Select Critical Updates and Service Packs.
Select the March 4th Security Update as it contains Windows XP VM.

Or you can download it from one of these locations:

http://www.download.windowsupdate.c..._CD24D109B33421DB6728FBDC80C9F572EB7A3865.exe
or
http://ftp.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/systems/win95/fixes/VM/msjavx86.exe
or
ftp://ftp.uq.edu.au/mirror/microsoft/patches/winxp/javavm_3319_MIL_4275/MSJavx86.exe

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the system information. Here is something else you might try,
not sure it will make a difference, but, you can try it too. Please post
back with the results of the other steps as well.
