I have not been able to get my Windows Updates automatically because I see in the notes log that there have been crashes. When I attempt to do a manual update from the Start Window, IE comes up and crashes saying there is a problem.

there is a webband.dll error and other info that is vague.

Go directly the Windows Update site
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

Clear your cache. Delete all temporary internet files and cookies. Make
sure your system time and date is correct.

Alternative way to download Windows and other updates. Use Bigfix.

Webband.dll is probably from this parasite.
