Internet explorer doesn't display .gif ads on any page

For some reason all .gif ads are blank with an "x" in the
upper left corner. Does anyone know how to correct this
problem?
 
that sounds familiar. in my case it's only the code that
makes a call to http://g.msn.com to display an ad. i
thought maybe my adware scanner broke something, but i
reversed everything and it's still the same. -A
