Internet Explorer Default Page and Multiple Windows

Am getting an unwanted default webpage. Hv changed the
default in Tools and this accepts my requested webpage
and keeps it. Nevertheless am still getting the unwanted
webpage when starting up IE despite my preferred webpage
showing as the default address in Tools.

2nd problem is that it will not allow me to open more
than one webpage and when I try to do this it reverts to
original webpage opened. This is regardless of which
webpage I may be in at the time.
