Internet explorer crashing *HELP*

My Internet Explorer version 6 keeps going slow and also
crashes. When it does crash it closes down all icons
except MSN Messenger down near my clock. I've got all the
updates downloaded and installed from the Windows Update
site for my Windows ME but still no change. Can anybody
help?????
