Internet Explorer crashes on start

IE version 6.0.2800.1106 crashes everytime you start it,
but this applies to only one profile on a pc (W2K SP4).
The message about choosing to restart IE and whether or
not to report the error comes up, and the error info is:
ModName shell32.dll
ModVer 5.0.3700.6705
Offset 00003439

If Windows Explorer is open, you can type in an http
address in the address line and it WILL open the page.
However, any link that would spawn a new window will crash
in the same fashion as calling iexplore directly.

Does anything here help?

Unfortunately nothing on that page lines up with what I'm
seeing. I have now re-installed SP3 and IE6 with no
change. Any other ideas?
