internet explorer constantly shuts down

hi,
i am currently having a problem with my browser.
I surf around for awhile and i constantly get an error
that internet explorer is having a problem and needs to be
shut down an restarted.
I tried to uninstall my current version of internet
explorer but my computer will only allow me to fix the
internet explorer or add to it.
I have 2 computers hooked up to one router sharing
internet access. I have tried to take the router off and
just run one computer but still the error is there.
That is how i know that the router is not the issue.
These errors are driving my crazy.
Does anyone know of a patch that i can get to fix this.
