Internet Explorer constant crashing!!

does anybody have any ideas as to why my internet explorer keeps crashing? it
seems to happen at random times, indeed while i was on this very site no less!
i also have intstalled BTYahoo! browser and that does the same thing,
crashing at random intervals.
any help is much appreciated

my OS is Windows XP Home Edition. i went to the widows update site and
according to it my computer is fully up to date. i have spybot s&d installed.
i sometimes get a message which says drwatson debeugger has encountered a
problem and must close, when i'm on the internet, forcing me to shut down IE.
any suggestions are appreciated
