Hi,
I've got an issue whereby Internet Explorer changes the filename of
files being downloaded if they have multiple periods (dots) in the
original filename. It adds [1] into the filename.
Eg. Trying to download a file named TestDoc.doc works fine, but when
downloading a file named TestDoc 0.1.doc, Internet Explorer will try
and save this as TestDoc 0[1].1.doc (unless the filename is manually
changed in the Save As dialog box).
The browser is Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106CO. Platform is Windows
NT4.
Is this a reason for this or is it a known issue? Either way, is
there a workaround available?
Cheers,
Mun
