Internet Explorer address bar

'I'm having a problem with my address bar. When I type a address such as
www.hotmail.com, I get a message saying "Cannot find 'www.hotmail.com'. Make
sure the path or Internet address is correct. When I type the http:// first,
then address works fine. How can I change it so I don't have to add the
http://, cause I'm lazy. THX

Using Regedit, browse to the following registry key and make sure the noted
setting is correct:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete]
"Append Completion"="yes"

also see the following values:

"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"

I tried this fix and it still did not work for me. If i type in

type in http://www.yahoo.com the pahe comes up right away.

Thanks,

Faisal
