Internet Explorer address bar wont accept search

When i type in the main address bar in IE i get a message saying i have
malware msn search error 403.
I have run ad aware and no problems and also spy bot with no problems, also
antivirus with no problems.
any one got any suggestions.
I am using windows xp with ntl broadband and have done a reboot.

Try To Restore ur IE to Default Setting, By this way: from IE
tools-internetOptions-Advanced then hit the Restore Defaults botton.
then go to next "Programs" and hit Reset Web Setting, press OK,OK.
now Close ur IE and try.. if it Fine?

also u should have AntiSpyWare Program, like webroot Spysweeper or microfost
AntiSpyware. update the program and SCAN ALL ur PC.

Ive tried all that and it is still the same wont let me search.
I am running ad aware, spybot, and microsoft anti spyware and they all say
no problems, infections, spyware etc.
Its so frustrating.

Those products are fine, but in addition you would benefit from some
on-line scans to raise your confidence level in the machine's health.
At this time there is no combination of software that detects/cleans or
prevents 100% of Malware infestation.
*Most if not all on-line scans below require ActiveX or Java to load
and run.

I would like to thank you for your advice and used house call antivirus and
found the problem. I will update to a newer anti virus programe for future
use.

hi, I seem to have the same Problem, I'm using xp and on NTL broadband
i've also done a reformat 3 times, can you tell me what the problem was
so that i can try and fix it on my pc. thanks.
