Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 is available to the public. Will those who have
not upgraded to Windows XP Professional SP 2, who are still running Windows
2000 Professional SP4, be able to run Internet Explorer 7?

Any comment on the approximate release date of Internet Explorer 7?

A friend Googled and downloaded the installer and is running it. It isn't
available through Microsoft Web site.

Not for Windows 2000 Professional users and end of 2006. My laptop cannot
run at current speed with all the bells and whistles of Windows XP. I'd
better get started with Firefox instead of installing add-ons on Internet
Explorer 6 SP1 for Windows 2000.

Reply was helpful. Thanks Frank.

If downloaded from a non-Microsoft site all bets are off as to whether or
not it includes a virus.

IE7 will only be available for WinXP SP2 and higher.

I am unemployed and too poor to subscribe to MSDN, but I have an add-in for
IE6. Is there anyone out there with V7 who would be willing to test my addin
on V7. I have tried to contact MS directly, but they are a big beast, some
pointers to MS personel who would be able to help me would be of help also.
Thx.
