Internet Explorer 6 Encoding

Hi!
I have Windows XP operating system with SP2. I need to remove an
encoding which I installed while viewing a web page (Chinese Simplified
GB2312). But the web page cannot be displayed and gets corrupted. My
friend who hasnt installed the coding can view the page.
The site doesnt support any other browser.
I have tried uninstalling Internet Explorer and then installing it
again, but the encoding is not removed.
Hope someone will be able to get this one.
Thanx!

Hello,

If so then please try doing a system restore it should uninstall it. Start >
All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Oh and you might
also try and see if you can use another browser such as Maxthon or something
like that, such browsers use the IE engine however they don't necessarily
use the same encoding, so you can still get things such as active x
therefore the page should be able to load in a browser such as that.

Make sure that you don't have Auto Select checked under View > Encoding...
that might be the problem as well.
