I posted this on the internet explorer web site yesterday. Today there
were only 3 new messages. (1 mine). So I'll repost it here to see if
anyone has any ideas.
My friend called me. He says when he loads a new page in IE 6.0, the
"loading" blue bar that grows from left to right in the right area of the
bottom bar isn't there. It's hard for me to tell over the phone but he
describes that the bar is there and has the blue e symbol in the left side
of the bar. But when he changes sites or refreshes the one he is on he does
not see the loading info in the left portion nor the growing blue bar in the
right portion.
He has IE 6.0 just like I have but doesn't "see" the info in the bottom bar
that I do. He has all critical updates for Win XP but shows 14 available
Windows XP updates. Could one of those be the cause? Any suggestions
would be appreciated. Thanks.
