Internet Exlorer trouble

Internet Explorer stops responding or the home page takes
a long time to open.

I have to click to open internet explorer about 10 times
before it will open and then it opens all 10 of them, but
it will not open just one.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
