internet error msg

Please help -
When I try to access my school web page it says -
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Information about the erro:

Error Signature
AppNmae: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
ycomp5_1_2_0.dll ModVer: 2003.2.18.1 Offset: 00005861
 
Eli,
ycomp5 is probably Yahoo Companion. Uninstall it and reinstall it. If you
still have trouble, you may have to stop using it. Yahoo Companion is
troublesome on some systems.
