I am unable to setup my Hotmail account in Outlook. There is an error
stating "Send test e-mail message: Unable to send a test Message. Please
verify the E-mail Address field". I am unsure as to why this is occuring as
my email address is correct.

By your subject, I am guessing that you are trying to set up Hotmail as a
POP3 account? I don't think that MSN Hotmail ever had POP3 service. I am
sure that they only offer HTTPMail for paid accounts, now.
If this is a legacy free MSN Hotmail account from before Sept. 26, 2004,
and you had accessed the account with MS Outlook, or MS Outlook Express
from before that date, you would set up as an HTTPMail account, and the
server name would be:
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp.
If this is a new free MSN Hotmail account set up after Sept. 26, 2004, or a
legacy free MSN Hotmail account that wasn't set up with MS Outlook, or MS
Outlook Express access before Sept. 26, 2004, you are out of luck. The only
way to get client access to the account would be to pay MSN $29.95US per
year for an MSN Hotmail premium account.
