internet disconnecting

I have cable internet running through the modem and a router. My internet
keeps disconnecting and I have to restart my computer to get it working
again. Its not a problem with my modem or router since another computer
hooked to the router doesnt have a problem. Also I have no viruses or spyware
on my computer that woould be causing this. Does anyone have any Ideas? I am
beginning to wonder if it is my network card............

Do you have a software firewall running? If so, whose.

I had zone alarm pro, I uninstalled it to see if it was causing it but it
still does it with just the microsoft firewall too.

Shoot. I was hoping you'd tell me ZA was still running. I had this exact
same issue. Except I has Windows firewall off and ZA installed. I fixed mine
by moving my NIC card in ZA from the internet zone to the trusted zone. If
you don't get any other leads in a day or two it's worth a shot to try I
guess.

I also have the same problem. Tried different firewalls, tried many
"solutions" found on the net, but none helped. It's not the modem, I used
that in another PC before without problems. First I thought it was P2P, but
that's not it. Only today in 2 hours, I had 4 disconnectings.
