Internet cuts off every 15 minutes in Win2000

Hi there,

I've recently installed windows2000 on my friends
computer because her computer had win98 before and wasn't
able to handle winxp. I've reformatted everything,
drivers and all, but the internet for some reason cuts
off every now and then, if i restart the system, it works
fine. Are there any fixes for this?

Among other possible causes, check her email settings.
E.g. in Outlook Express, go to Tools/Accounts, for each
email account go to Properties/Connection and make sure
the first box is unchecked.
