Internet connections

Hopefully a straightforward Q, have recently upgraded to Vista home and all
seems to be OK apart from the fact that there is an automatic connection to
the internet, I can not find the setting or anything to stop it at start up
nor to disconnect it apart from disconnecting the network itself.

Open Internet Explorer > go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections (tab)

under 'Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings' > select the

connection > and then 'Never dial a connection'.

Do you have broadband or dialup and if broadband, do you have a modem or do
you have a router?
