Internet Connection Sharing problem

I have set up an ad-hoc wifi network between my desktop
PC and laptop (both running XP) and configured it to
share the ADSL internet connection through the PC. File
and printer sharing work across the network, I can access
the internet from the host PC and I can control the
internet connection through the Internet Gateway icon in
Network Connections on the client laptop. However, I
cannot access the internet from the client. I have run
all the available troubleshooting routines, and the
configuration seems to check out OK, but the problem
remains. Any ideas, please?

I've solved it!

Internet access by the client was being blocked by the
ZoneAlarm software firewall installed on the host. I
thought I had avoided this by designating the client's IP
address as a Trusted site, but closing the firewall
eliminates the problem and ICS is now working. Now I need
to find out if ZoneAlarm can be configured to support
ICS, or if I must rely on the XP firewall.
