Internet connection problems.

When try to connect to the internet after initial switch
on, no connection dial-up box appears and I can't access
the information for internet properties, and I can't even
click on the Start menu. When I reset the computer
everthing works ok. This is a bit of a pain.
Hope someone can help

Rightclick the IE (Internet Explorer) icon on your
Click to expand...
desktop/click Properties/click Programs tab. Now reset
Internet Programs to your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
and reader program. Make sure to click Apply first then
OK to set and save settings.
