Internet Connection Problems and Internet Explorer problems

I have prepaid dial-up internet and when I dial, connection is established
and I can still access the web. But it does not seem to last long--the access
lasts for about 10 to 20 minutes and it disconnects by itself...informing me
that i need to redial...causing all the loading windows of my Mozilla Firefox
web Browser to halt. This is very frustrating...I have done many things to
try to fix this current problem of mine (but I can't recall all of it right
now)...can someone please give me advice?
But the main problem for me is that my Internet Explorer Web Browser does
not seem to be able to load any website on it (that's why I turned to
Mozilla)...I see the window, buttons and everything but the screen where a
webpage is to be seen is blank, and the bottom of the window shows no loading
bar, or any text to show it is...and yet the top of the window (the bar with
the minimise, maximise and close buttons on it) says it is loading the msn
home page...but i see nothing...no indication it is loading at all...(even if
i have Mozilla, I wouldn't want Internet Explorer to malfunction like
this...or has this problem occurred becasue of Mozilla?)...I really want
someone to give plenty of advice for this....and if you need to be more clear
about my situation, I am glad to answer questions regarding this....
thank you in advance

thank you for reading too

I have had that same problem as well concerning the Internet Explorer
browser...not to mention the fact I have Mozilla Firefox. What I have
attempted to do with no luck is uninstalling the actual Internet explorer
program along with the Xp service pack 2 update...then once again downloading
to see if it makes any difference in preformance, however I don't think it
has any direct connection to the Mozilla Firefox browser because they are
seperate browsers not working off of eachother or sharing any same dll
files...I hope that helps :)

Thank you EliTe
Thank you for at least that bit of information
Thank you

But I still need help...
