Internet connection problem

New (used) lap top. After loading ISP software and trying to connect, get
message: "LSA SHELL has caused an error and will now close". Then get
another message to the effect the computer will shut down in one minute with
something about "NT/Authority System" and "C:\\Windows\System32\lsass.exe
terminated. Code 1073741819. Any Ideas?
