XP generates error and restarts itself

Within 5 minutes of connecting to the internet, my
computer generates the following error and then restarts
itself:

This system is shutting down The shutdown was initiated
by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM.

The system process c:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe
terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819.
The system will now shutdown and restart.

Has anyone seen this before and know what the problem is
or more importantly, what the fix is? Thanks.

This is the sasser worm, which has several variants.
To stop the shutdown process
Start - Run - type cmd
in the command line type shutdown -a

You need to turm on a firewall IMMEDIATELY. Either ZoneAlarm or the
built in XP firewall
ZoneAlarm is available free at:

Please see:

Or update your own antivirus and run it.
