Internet connection problem

Hello,
Using Windows XP Home with IE6. Have three users set up on the system.
When the machine is first started, any user can log on and use IE to connect
to the Internet. After closing the browser and logging off, any other user
trying to cannot connect to the internet. Even the same user logging back in
cannot connect. After reboot whichever user is first to log on can do so,
but the after logging off the same problem occurs. It also appears as though
after the machine goes to sleep, and is woken up the same problem occurs. Am
aware of a 2nd machine doing the same thing. Anyone with ideas? Thanks

How about a clue as to HOW you connect to the internet?
And what does your ISP technical support suggest?

Otherwise you will just get guesses as you have already begun to.

Check the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon

value: KeepRASConnections and see what the value is. Should be 0 or not
present.

If you have Microsoft's TweakUI XP, check the same option under Logon:

Keep RAS Connections after logoff.
