internet connection Icon

hey i cant see the lan or high speed internet connection in,....ntwork
connection or in my tray ......but the internet is working...just cant see
the icon...pls help....if i reboot the icon will come on briefly...

Go to

Control Panel\Network Connections\Local Area Connection and check Show icon
notification area when connected
