Internet connection good in safe mode but not in normal boot

Safemode on Internet but normal winxp hm doesn't connect to cable modem
through Linksys router. I get an IP from router but browser does't display a
page.
Yes already ran (the latest versions and then updated before running) :
Adaware SE
Spybot Search and Destroy
Hijack this
cleared out temp Internet files
Cookies and History
not to sure how to read event log (the code numbers event #?)
Did boot in safemode with networking and connected to Internet (latest
versions of software and updated in safemode from download.com)
 
Do a system restore on your computer to a day before your problems started
with your internet connection.
