Have an HP computer running XP that recently was infected
with the Blaster Virus. It was successfully removed but
now the computer continuously disconntects itself from the
internet (MSN w/Dial-up) stating that "due to a firewall
you have been disconntected....etc." It will stay
connected for 1-5 minutes before this msg comes up and
disconnects. I have verified that the internal firewall in
XP was not enabled, I have also had MSN support on the
phone who had me recreate the MSN profile. I have run
diagnostics on the modem which show it is working fine. I
have replaced the phone cord. Not sure where to go next
with this, I know this is not a symptom of the Blaster
Virus but that is the only common denominator I can come
up with since this started the first time the computer was
used after removing the virus.
