Internet applications crash

Hi

Since Saturday I am havung this problem.
Many of my internet appliactions are crashing and I am getting the :"%program% has
encountered a problem abd needs to colse. We are sorry for the inconvernice"

So far, non-internet appllications are ok.

Applications that are crashing.
Outlook Express
MSN messenger
ICQ
Iexplorer
Netscape
Skype.
and more

I have tried to do a system restore. That "fixed" the problem for few hours.. but
now everything is crashing agin.

I have tried to boot is safe mode and I have this problem on safe mode too.

When an application is crashing and I am getting the error box, I can keep using the
application untill I press the send/don't send report.

Have you downloaded the Microsoft Windows Defender and run that. You might
find some spyware on there.

If that doesn't help have a look in the Event logs (Application)

Right Click My Computer and select Manage. Event View.

See if there are any logs relating to the failing apps

I didn't try this one, but I have scanned my PC with 3 other programs and I am
clean.

In the even mannager I can see the applications that had crash with even ID 1000
What does it mean?

Do malware scans, there's a good chance that something's infected you.
Use MS Antispyware, Spybot S&D, or Ad-aware, or all three if
possible.

Having the same problem in safe mode is kind of odd though.

I have scanned with SpySweeper and Netscape 8.1. I am clean from spyware.

Since I have the problem in safe mode too, maybe there is something in the XP
network protocol that can get currupted. Is there anything like that?

I have worked now for example with FrontPage. I worked for about an hour and all was
ok untill I have published my web.
