Internet address box

For some reason the address box on the bar at the top of my window has
decided to move itself so far over to the right side of the screen that the
box is gone. All I can see is "address". Can someone remind me how to fix
this? Thanks.

See if this helps.

Right click on the IE toolbar at the top of the window.
You should see a check mark next to "Lock the Toolbars".
Click on that line to remove the check mark.
You should now see a dotted bar to the left of Address.
Move your mouse pointer over this bar so that it turns into a
double pointed arrow.
Click and hold down your left mouse button and drag the bar to
the left.
Hopefully, this will restore access to the address box.

I tried that and got the box back, but it now stretches all the way across
to the right side - no room for any other buttons. Did I miss something?

Let's see if I understand what you're seeing. Does the Address
bar now stretch from left to right across the entire screen?

If that's the case, move your mouse pointer over the dotted bar
to the left of Address until it turns into the double pointed
arrow. Next, click and hold down the left mouse button. You
should now be able to drag the Address bar towards the top of
the screen so that you can position it to the right of the menu
toolbar.
