I am the only one in my home who can access the internet. When any other
user tries to access the internet they receive the "page not found" message.
I contacted my isp and they said this was because of a conflict between my
newly installed mcaffee antivirus and windows xp. After being unsuccessful
in contacting mcaffee, i tried to uninstall it. I cannot completely
uninstall mcaffee for some reason. I have even reinstalled and then tried to
uninstall with no luck. I now have computer associates antivirus running on
my computer. I can still access the internet with my user account, but no
one else in the family can. When another user tries to log on, computer
associates displays a screen informing me that the problem has something to
do with an "LSP" (layered socket protection), that is probably a remnant of
whatever part of mcaffee that i've been unable to uninstall. Question: does
anyone know how to completely purge my machine of mcaffee?
