international internet capabilities

bought new vaio in u.s., then moved to china. can't
connect to internet via lan or wi-fi. why? fixes?
 
More than likely the standards are different. Think of 110 here and 220
volts in Europe or NTSC television here and PAL and SECAM in other
countries.
 
Ask your ISP. The Internet is international, but some governments (Chinese,
Russian etc) are trying to put their dirty hands on the domestic access to
it.
