Hello,

I have a problem with my brand new 'Epson Perfection 3490 Photo' scanner.
Here is an example of the problem :

As you can see, even and odd lines are not aligned. If you use a filter
with Gimp or Photoshop to keep odd lines or even lines, you get a perfect
image. And using layers, it is perfectly visible that the images are not
aligned.

I'm using Vuescan 9.3.09 under Linux. The negative used in he example is a
a Kodak Black & White, but I have the same problem on color negatives.

Does anybody see what is the problem ? IsS it on scanner side, or Vuescan
side ? Or another problem ?

I didn't make tests under Windows, as I do not have Windows. But I can find
one if you think it is necessary.

Thank's for your help,

R

Could be a Vuescan issue. Have you emailed Ed Hamrick about it? Try
the TWAIN driver and see if it works any better.

No, I didn't, as I thought he was reading this newsgroup...

Ok. I'll try it.

Thank you for your answer.
