Can you apply one group policy to a user if he logs on in a machine and
override that group policy to the same user when he logs on in another
machine??

I can't find a solution for this with win2k server. With Win 2003 it's
possible. There is a wmi tab in the OU properties that allows you to
override the policies depending on wmi data accessed with wql (sort of SQL
for wmi).

Is there any way I can do this?

Hi Marco,

This can be achieved by enabling loopback mode. This will cause user policy
to be determined based on the location of the machine object in Active
Directory (rather than on the location of the user object). You can find

Unfortunately this only works in win 2000 and my client machines are winXP.
What can I do besides waiting for sp2 to come out..
