Interesting Keyboard behaviour

Hi there,

I am getting some interesting behaviour with my Keyboard which I am unable
to 'turn-off'

When I type a single quote, the quote does not appear until I press another
character after it... Now, if the next character I type is a consanant, the
single quoite appears and the consanant after it. If th enext letter I type
is a vowel, the character that appears is variation of the vowel... For
example:

I type the letters: ' b e n ' What appears is: 'ben'
I type the letters: ' a p e ' What appears is: ápe'
To get around this I must type: ' [Escape key] a p e '

This doesn't happen all of the time however.. And I can't pinpoint what is
activating it..

Please help!
regards
Ben

Does this just happen in MS Word? If so, you have to set
your autoformat options which is under the tools menu I
believe.
