Interesting bug I've noticed - Outlook 2007 calendar

Hi everyone, how are you all?

I've noticed an interesting bug that's just decided to start up today with
the calendar function in Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista Ultimate. I've always
been easily able to access my schedule for the day, week or month from the
"Outlook Today" main-page by just clicking the calendar button on the left
hand side of the screen, but can no longer do it (the whole Outlook program
freezes up and will not respond). Interestingly enough, I'm still able to
get to my schedule when I open up a mail folder and click on a date in the
calendar located on the "To-Do Bar".

The only thing that I've done today is update JAVA, but the problem still
remains even when I uninstall today's update for JAVA.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Does anyone have any idea how
to fix the problem? I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for
your time!!

Cheers!!

Is outlook set to start with the calendar or outlook today?

Does it work if you click the calendar button on the nav pane?

I would start with resetting the view -

Hi Diane, how are you?

Outlook was set to start with Outlook Today and unfortunately the calendar
button on the nav pane was the problem itself (the whole Outlook program
locked up completely upon clicking on it).

Unfortunately, resetting the view didn't help, but what did help this "one
time occurence" (according to Microsoft) is the creation of a new profile and
then migrating all of the data across to the new profile. A little annoying
and time consuming, but fortunately this suggestion from the Microsoft
help-desk was quite good at rectifying the problem.

Cheers, with many thanks!!

New profiles fix a lot of things. :) My second step would have been
resetting the navpane, then a new profile.
