IntelliPoint: Button Assignments Are Lost or Changed in Windows XP

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 314352 says that this issues is fixed
in their latest release. I installed it. It's still a problem. The
problem occurs when switching users. Switching back from a second user
causes all custom button assignments to be lost. Any ideas?

The problem is part of the Intellipoint 5 drivers. MS had removed
features/sunctions that they thought no one was using. Version 4.12 of the
drivers are still available off their downloads.
