intelligent desktop

A pop up box has been installed on my desktop called "Intelligent Desktop".
It takes up about 1/6 of my screen. When I got to www.intelligentdesktop.com
and use the uninstall link, XP blocks the process because there is an activeX
control that needs to be installed to complete the process and I'm afraid of
allowing this ActiveX to be installed. Has anyone dealt with this problem
before?

I think it is spyware and I am not sure I would use the uninstall link. Have
you run Adaware and Spybot?
