Integrating Windows Messenger in Outlook 2007

I use Windows Live Messenger and i am trying to find a way of knowing when my
contacts are online when i am using my Outlook 2007. I read through one KB
that Messenger can be integrated into Outlook by going into
Tools-Options-Other and then Person Names. I notice however that in my
Outlook 2007 that the tab " Display Messenger Status..." is greyed and i am
therefore unable to select it.
Can anyone help me in trying to 'ungrey' this particular command so that i
can see the Messenger status.

Thank you.

Are you in a corp environment that disable that ability?
Could be you just need to reinstall WLM.

Bill,
thank you for responding. I am not in a corp environment but i only use a
simple broadband connection. Do you think that reinstalling Windows Live
Messenger will help? Any other suggestions also welcome.

Thank you
