Greg

I was recently trying to Upgrade my version of Win98se to
Windows XP prof. During the copying of files, there was a
error while copying "biosinfo.inf" This seems like it
probably is an important file, So can i skip this file in
the installation? What should i do then?

Hi Greg,

No, you can't skip it. Common installation problems are usually cured by
restarting the machine, then....

1) Delete the contents of the C:\windows\temp folder, there may be a file in
there interfering with the setup routine of the installer.

2) Turn off all other running programs, especially your antivirus software.
Use ctrl+alt+delete, if necessary, to "end task" on everything except
Explorer.
