Installshield problems, cannot install some things

Hi I have a really weird problem in Windows Xp Sp2. I am trying to install software like a Text to Speech program which is using a Installshield windows installer but it doesn't work. The install runs all the way through the setup and installs 100% then it ends and says:

"The wizard was interrupted before Infovox could be completely installed. The system has not been modified. To install at a later time run this again".

All I can do is click finish then and nothing gets installed.
The same thing happens with some other programs that use the same Installshield type installer. I've tried many things like disabling all programs including virus scanners when installing. I've searched this problem on the net but can't find much, but I found people had similiar problems and they pointed to a problem with SP2. All I found was something that told me too check permissions were enabled for some DCOM component thing in control panel which it was..Can anyone help me?

That program didnt help at all it did is show some
programs that i could remove which were not the problem
ones or installshield
