Installshield 1607 error

Hi all,

I tried to install software and get an installshield
error 1607: unable to install installshield scripting
runtime...

I went to Installshield consumer central and followed the
instructions but there is no "security" tab for my
windows XP.

Appreciate your advise on what I shld do next.

In WinXP Home you must be in safe mode to access the security tab.
In WinXP Pro - You have to disable Simple File Sharing as below:-
Click on Start, and then click my computer.
Go to Tools Menu, Golder Options and then click View Tab.
In the Advanced Settings section clear "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)
check box.
Click Okay
