Newly built machine and first install of Windows XP

Partioned hard drive into partitions C:, E:, F:, G:, H:,
and I:

Formatted C: and I: partitions

When installation completed only C: and I: were formatted
No problems other partitions were formatted OK

Windows XP had been installed to I: partition
along with Program Files etc

How can these be transferred to C:

Will leaving them in I: be detramental now or future

Peter, I would leave them on I. I would take a look for your boot files
on C: Go to Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder
Options>View. Click on Show Hidden files and Folders and Uncheck Hide
protected operating system files. Then
look for boot.ini file on C: You should have no problems with WinXP on
the I partition. Your only other viable alt is
to Start over and choose C: as your system partition.

You cannot transfer XP to the C drive, you will have to reinstall.
