Installing XPE SP1 on XP - wont' install - help!

Okay, i'm really sorry for such a stupid question...

I have a boxed copy of "Winodws XP Embedded" "Includes Service Pack 1".
This contains 8 CD's.

I have a clean "XP Pro" workstation that I'm trying to install these
developer tools into.

When I start the first CD, I get a list of options.
1 option is to install MSDE, but that will not install without a password,
and the installer fails. (It's not that it's asking for a password, it
simply needs one to be supplied, but doesn't ask for one. It tells me to
modify the setup command line with a /passwd parameter, but I'm unable modify
that...)

I tried to download MSDE2005 (express) and installed that instead.

The next step links the software to the database.
I run this, but it tells me that I must have SQL2000 or later in order to
install.
(Obviously I have a later version, but it doesn't recognise it.)

I *do* want to install and run SP2, it's just that the discs I have are SP1.

Does anyone have advise on installing and getting this software to run?

Thanks.

Nick.

PS. I tried to download the trail version, but that software will not
download.
