Is there any way to install XP on a computer that doesn't
have a floppy drive and can't boot from drive "D" (CD-
ROM)?

Virtually all PCs have a BIOS option to change the boot
order of drives. Open the BIOS and make your CD Drive
the first bootable device.

My laptop isn't allowing me to boot from ROM drive. In
BIOS, these are my boot settings and boot options:
QuickBoot:Enable, Multiboot:Disable, and this is my Boot
Order: Notebook Multibay:First, Notebook hard
drive:Second, Notebook Ethernet Boot:Third. When I boot,
it goes directly to the desktop. Therefore, I insert the
CD, it runs, and gives me 4 options, one of which is to
install XP. I then continue and chose clean install, as
opposed to upgrade. After installation, my old
files/folders are still there. THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

The "Multibay" option is the one that should allow the laptop to
boot from the CD. Simply install the CD drive into the multibay, and
carry on.

I've done that. Bootup system, to goes directly to
desktop. I then remove and reinsert CD into drive. Setup
launches automatically. I choose two options: advanced
clean install and to delete existing files/folders, but
after the process, my old files/folders are still there.
The only newly installed is Windows. My laptop won't
boot directly to CD drive. THANKS :)
