I am having a problem installing Windows XP. I purchased an Intel MoBo that
has 1 IDE connection, which I used for the DVD drives. I have two hard
drives: 160gb and 250gb which are connected to a Ultra ATA133 PCI controller
card. After doing some research I read that in order to install XP into one
of those HDs I would need to insert a floppy with the drivers for the
controller card. After Windows installs the drivers from the diskette
(during installation) it recognizes the hard drives. GREAT!!! This is where
my problems begin.
I get to the screen where I have to choose which HD I want to install the OS
on. Whichever one I choose, I get an option to format NTSF (Quick), NTSF, or
keep going. I have formatted both HD already (in a previous atempt to
install) so I chose to keep going. From there the computer restarts and the
whole insallation process starts all over. I have tried multiple drivers
multiple times and I get the same result. Thank you for taking the time to
read this long post and if you can help I would forever indebted to you.
