Is this right? When I boot up my PC the 2 Sata drives show on the boot screen
as:
IDE Ch2. Master LBA,ATA133 160gb AND
IDE CH5.Master LBA,ATA133 250gb

Im running W2k pro SP4 w/all current motherboard drivers.
Motherboard is based on Nvidia Nforce 4 ultra chipset.
Haven't used any SATA drives before.

Looks good to me. Very likely just a BIOS bug. SATA does not have
slower modes than (S)ATA150, so don't worry about the speed.

Of course they can, in compatability mode.
SATA is just an interface that bursts at 150.
Internally the drive can have any burst rate it wants.

SATA does not have ATA modes at all, Annie.
The BIOS report is a relic of ATA compatibility.

Well, the drives "speed test" alright 59,128 on SATA II(SATA300) and 54,104
on SATA 1(SATA150).
I know that test is very basic.
